CHÂTEAU DES BRIOTTIÈRES
Château des Briottières is both a family home and a luxury hotel located in the Anjou region of the Loire Valley. The beautiful 18th century chateau has been in the same family for seven generations and the current owners, Francois and Hedwige de Valbray personally offer a very special experience to their guests at this unique property. Every aspect of the experience is elegant and refined, each of the 10 bedrooms is delightfully unique and luxurious with amazing views over the surrounding parkland. Both breakfast and dinner served to the same high standard in the impressive dining room. Prior to dinner, Francois offers an apéritif in the equally sumptuous living rooms.

The chateau is located at the western end of the Loire Valley close (15km) to the 16th century French Renaissance Chateau du Plessis-Bourré which has significant defense systems with a double drawbridges, large moats and parapet walk which are contrasted by the elegance of the interior with the stately courtyard, the arcade gallery, the large rooms lit by high mullioned windows, its rich decorations. Also close by (30km) is historic town of Angers with its 9th century Château d’Angers which houses the 100 meter long Tapestry of the Apocalypse commissioned by Duke Louis in 1375.
